Ulta carries everything you could need for your gf/wife and the salon services are awesome.

Absolutely love!!!! Lena did my hair and she is a miracle worker. Definitely knows her colors. Will return. Wonderful staff, wonderful environment.

I don't usually write reviews, however the last time I visited the store I had received some pretty crappy service.. I was bothered by what had happened. I have over 4 years experience in customer service myself and know what is and isn't appropriate service. As always I walked in the store. I was greeted as usual. I knew what I was in there for so when I was politely asked a few times if I needed help I declined. After I had found what I was looking for I did some browsing. I was looking for a particular gift set that they had carried in the past. I was then asked again by someone who was stocking shelves with products if I needed assistance which I happily agreed to take. I told her what I was looking for and she pointed in the direction it was in. She then told me she would walk me there, which I did appreciate. We both started to walk in that direction. I make my way to one of the main aisles, I didn't hear anyone walking with me anymore so I turn around and I see she had stopped to place items on the shelf again.. I stop and waited for her to Finnish and then we proceeded to walk over to the other side of the store. About 8 minutes later I walk up to the front to get in line. At this point it was just me and one other lady who was in front of me. I'm standing there for about 3-4 minutes and then some more help came to the front to ring people up. It happened to be the same lady that had helped me earlier. She starts getting her register set up and then calls for the next customer to come up. I walk up and set my stuff down. She looks at me and tells me that there is a line and that I cannot cut and need to get to the back of the line. I look at her and look at ther lady right behind me and right before I could tell her that I had been standing there before the line had formed the lady behind me politely told her I was indeed next up. I don't understand how someone can walk up without being aware of surroundings, assume what is going on and not ask who is up next. She had no idea how long I had been standing there. I'm simply writing this so that this doesn't happen in the future to me or anyone else.. this was the first time I have received such bad customer service here. I feel this person's view on the customer needs to be a little more sensitive, personable, and observant.

The store is big, clean, and has a fair amount of product. My only issue is the employees. You rarely get any customer service. My biggest peeve is that on days when i wear my makeup and hair all nice, they are super friendly and offering help. But the days i go in with no makeup or anything done, they look past me and dont acknowledge even a smile. So yes,

Still in disbelief. The store was empty aside from another customer and myself yet I was offered assistance 1 time when I initially arrived. After wandering the store over and over looking for the right product, I finally had to seek help, though I was stared at several times by the employees. Being so empty of customers but so full of employees, I should have received more of the personal shopping experience. The ladies at the checkout were very sweet though. Then to the haircut, the worst part. We arrived 30 minutes early and there was nobody in the salon except for stylists. Instead of taking us on early as a child's haircut should not exceed 30 minutes, we waited. and waited. Maybe because the stylist we were assigned to hadn't arrived yet but it was our first visit so I didn't care if the one who was available took us on. I was working against the clock of nap time and keeping a toddler "in the mood" for sitting to get a haircut. If you have kids, you know what I'm talking about. I told her I wanted basically what was already going on, that it just was a little longer than I like. Somehow she interpreted that to take 3 inches of length off my child's hair to a near buzz cut. (Insert giant eyes of shock). Excuse me. How does that make sense. His hairstyle in no way represented a buzz cut style. At all. This is the first time I've ever had to hold back tears for a haircut. (Yes, it'll grow back, but it's my child's face that I will see in pictures and remember this awful experience b/c she did not listen.) I brought him into Ulta, to a Salon, to have his hair cut with sheers by a "Professional STYLIST," not into a barbershop to be buzzed with clippers and especially when I'm paying more than $20 for a toddler's cut. I'm just so disheartened. It gets WORSE. After immediately stopping with the clippers as I shockingly state that's too short, she leaves it that way. Say what. The haircut ends after she blends it, but as I'm looking, his side burns are still there that I asked to be cut, there are longs groupings of hair sticking out from around his ears, the back of his neck is shaggy, the back of his head is cut high on one side and long on the other.. you kind of should make it look like an even haircut that was professionally done since you already screwed it up. Like we were seriously about to walk out of there as if a 6 year old cut his hair. I have never had to request so many corrections, from a Professional Stylist! I mean, seriously. What the heck. So, I am upset. I am unhappy. I should not have had to pay $22 for that experience. I should not have been charged at all really. I still want to cry for such lack of care and lack of service and overall lack of consideration that yes he's a toddler but he deserves to have a quality haircut just as anyone else would. You wouldn't dare send a grown man or woman out with that experience so why do you think it's okay to do so b/c he cannot speak for himself? Well, I'm speaking for him. I'm speaking for me. You need more training. I hope you seek some out so you don't crush another mother's heart when it comes to her baby.

On those "better" days.

I now turn down help when they come at me
